Woman Laments As EFCC Raids Home At 4am, Breaks Door To Check Husband’s Phone [NEWS

A Nigerian woman has raised an alarm over an alleged early-morning raid on her home by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a video she shared on X (formerly Twitter), the woman claimed that EFCC officers stormed her residence around 4 a.m., broke down her door, and assaulted her husband while demanding access to his phone.

According to her, the operatives scaled the fence into the compound while she and her husband were asleep. She said they forcefully banged on the door until it gave way, damaging what she described as an expensive door.

She alleged that the officers searched her husband’s phone and ransacked their home but left after finding nothing incriminating, simply apologizing before exiting.

The woman further claimed that the raid extended to other houses on the street.

In her words:

“We were sleeping when EFCC came around 4 a.m. They broke our door, beat my husband, collected his phone, and searched everywhere. In the end, they only said ‘sorry.’ They even climbed our fence to enter.”

The video has since triggered widespread reactions online, with many social media users expressing outrage and demanding that the agency be held accountable.
