A Babcock University graduate has shared his frustration online after spending over ₦10 million on a Political Science degree but failing to secure a job that pays even ₦100,000.

In a video on X, he lamented that a year after graduation, his certificate has brought no returns, calling some degrees, including Political Science and Public Administration, “useless” in Nigeria’s job market. His comments sparked mixed reactions from social media users.

“Today makes it one year I graduated from Babcock University. The course I spent over ₦10 million to learn, I haven’t been able to use the certificate to get a job that pays ₦100,000,” he said.

“I went to school to study a very useless course. Some people will not accept the fact. The only people with a future in this country are those who studied accounting, banking and finance, people in the medical field like nursing, med lab, and law.”
